Cod
The cod is a wild fish that lives in the North Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean species is: Gadus macrocephalus. The Atlantic Ocean species is: Gadus morhua.
Aloia Foods’ Pacific Ocean cod is fished exclusively by hook and line in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea. The characteristic features of Gadus macrocephalus are its particularly firm, pulpy flesh and very white colour.
Aloia Foods’ Atlantic Ocean cod comes from the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway. Gadus morhua is particularly appreciated for its tender meat and delicate taste.
