With the Sapore d’Italia brand, Aloia proudly wished to pay tribute to the family’s Amalfi origins. In fact, at the beginning of the last century, Pasquale Aloia, the man who started the family’s business history, settled in Atrani, a beautiful village on the Amalfi Coast.
Pasquale’s sons Antonio and Vincenzo Aloia were born in Atrani, and immersed in Amalfi’s mercantile and entrepreneurial vibrancy, they consolidated the family business, first importing grain from the United States of America and then building an advanced pasta factory.
